If you are a Beneteau owner (or want to be) and have never been to a rendezvous, you don’t know what you’re missing. One of the largest is the Beneteau Rendezvous at California’s Catalina Island organized by South Coast Yachts. We heard what a fun time was had by all in attendance and wanted to share the antics with all of you.
The 17th annual event was well attended with 180 boaters aboard 55 sail and powerboats. This year’s theme was “Redneck Yacht Club” and the pictures are proof everyone who came successfully channeled their inner redneck! Festivities began with a Friday night Island Luau on the beach. The next morning, after getting up way too early and enjoying a way-too-big breakfast, everyone got down to business attending some very informative seminars so they could tell the folks back home they also learned a lot.
The seminars were followed by an exciting regatta and dinghy raft up at host boats “Audacious,” a First 40.7 plus a Swift Trawler 44 and other new Beneteaus. And then, the moment they'd all been waiting for...The Redneck Yacht Club Party!
