We’re proud to introduce Sarah Angell and Bruno Gouezigoux as our new sales management team for our sailboats division in the Americas. Sarah and Bruno are working closely with Beneteau dealers throughout North and South America helping to bring our sailboats to the sailing public. In addition to their top-flight management skills, Sarah and Bruno bring a life-long love for sailing and sailboat racing.
Sarah Angell focuses her efforts on the East Coast and Great Lakes regions, including parts of Canada. A New Jersey native, she spent her childhood summers in Rhode Island learning and falling in love with sailing and racing. Sarah crewed for the Hobart and William Smith Colleges’ nationally ranked sailing team. After school, she used her degree to teach English as a second language in France before deciding to combine business with pleasure by making a career in the marine industry.
The management skills she learned in the following 14 years working in the industry make her a perfect fit for her new role. She is also a ‘people-person’ and enjoys working with those who make up the Beneteau team, helping them to bring a higher level of service to their customers.
“I always aspired to work for Beneteau. Growing up, Beneteau was a household brand to my family and friends. Because the company is a leader on the global stage, it gives me a chance to work with so many interesting people from other cultures.”
Like any true mariner, Sarah still makes time for sailing and racing. “There are so many races I’m proud to have been a part of. One of my favorite events is Block Island Race Week. I also had the chance to do a Newport-Bermuda Race while I was living in Newport. It was a great experience, and I can’t wait for my next open ocean race!”
Bruno Gouezigoux, also an expert racer, oversees the sailboats division for all of South America and now the southern US, Pacific Coast and parts of Canada as well. Hailing from the Brittany region of France, he joined Beneteau in 2004 after earning his MBA. In 2009, he was made sales manager for Switzerland, Germany, Poland and Czechoslovakia. From there, he was tasked with overseeing emerging markets in the Middle East and South America. Then in 2012, he moved to Brazil to develop and support sales for Beneteau in all of South America. In 2018, he brought his management skills to North America also and is now based in the Annapolis office.
“I love that I’m being given these new challenges in a new country. Beneteau has an outstanding professional network of people, and it’s gratifying to work with them all in many different capacities. Being in Annapolis is great; it is at the center of American sailing.”
In spite of all his responsibilities, Bruno still finds the time to hone his racing skills. He was a fixture at regattas throughout Europe and Brazil and is currently part of an Annapolis-based team, practicing for upcoming inshore and offshore races.”
